Perth overtakes the east coast as the best choice for apartment buyers

Figures prepared for Stirling Capital by Urbis show the median Perth apartment price is $442,250 compared with $580,000 in Sydney and $455,000 in Melbourne. When you balance that out with gross rental yield of 5.1% for Perth, compared with 4.2% in Melbourne and 4.4% in Sydney – clearly Perth is streets ahead in terms of investment value. Also, Perth apartments have seen growth in median prices of 15.6% in the last 5 years.

“Perth has seen rapid property price growth over the last decade and we are now at the bottom of the market cycle. Compared with the east coast, Perth apartments offer a relatively affordable entry point alternative for owners or investors, “ Luke Reinecke said.
