Stirling Capital appoints Development Manager

Stirling Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Matthew Chau to the new position of Development Manager.

Mr Chau’s role will primarily focus on strategic project management, contract negotiations and delivery of major developments for the Group.

Mr Chau brings a wealth of experience to the growing team at Stirling Capital, including 12 years direct experience in delivering complex largescale construction and development projects in Perth and Melbourne.

Mr Chau joins Stirling Capital most recently from Appian Group where he worked as Senior Project Manager and prior to that, he spent six years with Hartree and Associates as Senior Architect and Project Manager.

In his previous roles, Mr Chau handled contract negotiations and project management of forward works for Elizabeth Quay, a major review of Rio Tinto’s Pilbara accommodation, commercial and site portfolios and the procurement of the WA Schools Public Private Partnership.

Other major projects Mr Chau has been involved with include King’s Square – Perth City Link, Cottesloe Hotel Redevelopment and Reef Hotel Redevelopment.

He holds dual qualifications in law and architecture from the University of Western Australia.

Stirling Capital Director, Luke Reinecke believes Mr Chau’s appointment to this newly created position will make an immediate positive impact on the expanding team.
